Whether you are looking to explore Aztec pyramids, delve into the stories of ancient civilisations, visit impressive archaeological sites, discover beautiful beaches or escape from it all with challenging horse treks into the jungle, Mexico has it all!

Horses have always played an important part in Mexico's history. Crollo horses are common as are Quarter horses and Andalucian stock. Mexico also has its own breed of horse called the Azteca. Because horses are so important in rural Mexico, one of the best ways to experience authentic Mexican way of life is to explore the countryside on horseback.

A horse riding vacation in the Sierra Madre Mountains can cater for a variety of riding experience and fitness levels. Competent riders can be challenged with a good number of hours in the saddle, a variety of terrain and some steep descents. The Classic Ride is a seven night itinerary where the horses stay out on the trail and guests return to the beautiful Finca Enyhe each night. Less experienced or less fit riders can opt for the Relaxed Ride, a six night itinerary which has fewer hours in the saddle and free time set aside to explore the local town or simply relax by the pool.

Trail riding in this part of Mexico is wonderful for many reasons.
