Riding Holidays | Scottish Borders - Scotland
The Scottish Borders is a county located in the South-East of Scotland. The Borders are proud of their rich history, to which horse riding is strongly linked, and so horse and rider are welcomed into the county with open arms, encouraged to discover the vast, beautiful countryside.
The Borders landscape is truly breath-taking. The hills continue for as far as the eye can see, with lush valleys and woodland areas scattered amongst them - it really is a pleasure to explore this riding country that is difficult to match elsewhere. The untamed Cheviot Hills are known for various riding trails with outstanding views, as is Peebles, set in the extensive landscape of the Tweed Valley. The South of Scotland Countryside Trails boasts over 200 miles of quality off-road tracks all around the Scottish Borders, where horse and rider can amble through picturesque villages and across the local farmland of this fantastic rural county. And don’t forget that the Scottish Borders is also home to a spectacular coastline, where coastal paths and beach riding can be enjoyed by all.
There are a wealth of equestrian centres offering holidays to remember in the Scottish Borders, so what are you waiting for?
