Riding Holidays | North Yorkshire - England

North Yorkshire, the largest county in England, is situated in the North-East of the country. The unique, extensive countryside of North Yorkshire is a real wonder, and is best explored on horseback.

Did you know that almost half of North Yorkshire is made up of national parks? That’s what makes its landscape so spectacular. And it’s not only home to beautiful open countryside, but also numerous award winning beaches along the county’s coastline – there is something for everyone in North Yorkshire. Hacking over the majestic hills of the Yorkshire Dales National Park is the ultimate way to relax and experience the tranquillity of the unspoilt Yorkshire countryside. The North York Moors offer another different experience with acres upon acres of wild heather and rugged moorland, and also a coastline boasting impressive cliffs and gorgeous beaches. In the national parks there are many well-trodden routes such as the Yorkshire Wolds Trail and the Cleveland Way where you can see for miles around and marvel in the local heritage. And don’t forget about Yorkshire’s Heritage Coastline, where beach riding opportunities can be enjoyed by all abilities  - head to Fraisthorpe Beach for an exhilarating gallop across the sand or a relaxed paddle along the lapping shoreline.

There are a host of brilliant equestrian centres providing fantastic horse riding holidays throughout the county - the outstanding equine adventures on offer in the charming North Yorkshire countryside are certainly not to be missed.
